Motorcycle purchase and handover to our interpreter Kassim in Tanga, Tanzania, on July 8th, 2025
Since 1984, Swahili is the language of social and political life, primary education, and adult education in Tanzania. To communicate with the people in and around Sange, a village near the Indian Ocean in the Pangani District, we have depended on an interpreter. Kassim has made this possible for us in an outstanding manner and with great personal commitment. He has been available to us for every occasion, even if it meant traveling 50 km on a borrowed motorcycle over natural roads. He could not afford to own one himself at the time.
We could sense his enthusiasm for this service, and David Wared gave us the task and the means to donate a brand-new motorcycle to him. Promoting individual opportunities and perspectives is an essential aspect of Light Awareness.
On the 9th of July 2025 two of us set off from Sange to Pangani and crossed the Pangani River. A private taxi with Kassim was already waiting there to take us to dealer in Tange who sells almost everything, including motorcycles. After negotiations and purchase, it was a matter of waiting until the motorcycle was fully assembled and ready with registration. After the ceremonial handover and blessing of Kassim on his bike, it was time to return to Pangani to say goodbye to Kassim with good luck and blessings for him and the new challenges ahead.
Heartspiritsoulgratitude to the source of the Light Awareness Philosophy, David Wared, who has once again exemplified what it means to be one with all: expanding the possibilities and perspectives of every individual to reach their full potential. We look forward to seeing Kassim again and facing the tasks ahead of us.
