Freedom and Peace Award by David Wared for Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, Mirra Alfassa posthumous, Aurovalley-Ashram, Rishikesh – India, on March 25th, 2025
By opening the supramental consciousness, Sri Aurobindo opened the doors of individual and global expansion of consciousness to humanity worldwide. Mirra Alfassa, known as the Mother, supported him in the realization of the spiritual content he had authored. Through their joint efforts and the Mother's continued service after Sri Aurobindo's death and ascension, his spiritual legacy was realized for the benefit of all people in Auroville and Pondicherry. Swami Brahmdev established his ashram Aurovalley following the Mother's example without ever having met her personally.

Both Sri Aurobindo and Mother Mirra Alfassa dedicated their entire lives to expanding the consciousness of others. With the teaching of supramental consciousness and the steps towards its realization, both have contributed to the liberation of people from identified states of consciousness. Liberation enables all further steps towards inner peace. Once both have been experienced and recognized, the new consciousness can be brought in for the liberation and pacification of the Next Self and the global consciousness.
The Freedom and Peace Award by David Wared was presented to them posthumously in honor, appreciation and recognition of their lifelong service for the good of humanity and opens up the universal sphere of their serving. According to David Wared's philosophy of light awareness, freedom and peace are eternal values. They are eternal, infinite and immortal and remain unaffected by human thought, feeling and action.
Nevertheless, every being is equipped, enabled and empowered to attain the highest consciousness through liberation and pacification and to merge into the highest freedom and peace.
