Flamingos as far as the eye can see, in Colombia/ April 23^rd 2018

The visit of two lagoons on which many flamingos dwell is our destination today. Although the distance to our finca only amounts to 1 1/2 hours a totally different climate is prevailing here. It is dry, torrid, windy – desert climate. Here we can also see that there is too less water. The lagoons have considerably become smaller. You can see how far the water goes otherwise.

Far and wide there is no trace of flamingos. The guide says that they have flown to the other side of the lagoon. David and our camera crew step into a boat in order to come across the flamingos. Full of joy we can admire the photos which show these wonderful animals – it’s so as if we also had been included.
