5.000 m high mountains in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta– Snow-covered mountains in Colombia/ April 24th, 2018

Early in the morning during one of our tours we witness a very special moment: We see the Sierra Nevada covered with much snow. Ivan, the owner of our finca, is quite happy. Never before he has seen the Sierra Nevada with so much snow. Prior to our arrival in Colombia there was to be seen only little snow. The snow is such important because it indicates the information about the water level in the Sierra. Little snow = little or too less water for the Sierra. We share Ivan’s happiness.
